The minor prophets

Biblical studies

The twelve books of the Old Testament from Hosea to Malachi are frequently overlooked, mainly because their subjects seem so diverse or even odd. But these interesting documents were written by passionate, brave people, inspired by God to pronounce his word, sometimes against their own instincts and wishes. Why were they chosen to go in the Old Testament? Why does Judaism regard them as a single book? Is there a common theme? There are lots to look at and lots to talk about.
